Arsenal 2:1 Sunderland : The Tale of Robin Van Persie

We are the Arsenal. We will be back, and back we almost are. It was a tense game, towards the end it looked like we didn't have a hope of getting the goal, but we did, and Robin Van Persie saved us yet again. He could not be more Important for us at the moment. Which is quite a worrying situation. I don't mean to be gloomy after a win but look at Utd, Rooney didn't play on Sunday, he's their best player, but they can play without him and frankly you couldnt see us getting anything out of the game if Robin wasn't on the pitch.
Yet thankfully he was and we got the three points. It didn't take long for us to go ahead. With Forehead sliding in Robin after about 45 seconds. The right-footed finish was good and the keeper didn't move. Maybe it could've been saved but I don't care one little bit.
We were playing well. Our best first 15 minutes of the season in my opinion but Arteta gave away a stupid freekick which larsson struck superbly past shezzers.
Second half was much more tough. We found it hard to create chances and before the introduction of AA23 we struggled. The little Russian definitely gave us something and he skewed a shot wide after weaving through the Sunderlad defense.
But it was up to Captain fantastic to hand us the three points. The free-kick was wonderfully dispatched and gave us an absolutely vital win. We're not back yet. But we're on our way. Wins at marseille and home to those dirty cu*nts will help us hugely. Then we can hope for something away to the chavs.
Man of the match has to go to the captain, but arshavin was great after he came on. The rest were fairly average except schezzers who make a stunning save in the first half, saving our arses, as usual.
Personally, whatever happens between now and January, I hope we strengthen. We just need a boost and someone to take some of the pressure of Robin, but I must admit I'm not getting my hopes up. There are names thrown around by papers but as you know, it's never official until it appears on arsenal.com.
Delighted with the win. We didn't need a performance, we just needed three points and that's what we got so let's focus on that.
